Heat shrink tapes play a fundamental role in the electrical wiring installation phase, as they allow technicians to correctly identify the wiring to be installed.
Because of this, it is recommended that the electrical cable labels that you select for your projects ensure long-lasting results and that they put quality and prevention before the economy.
One of the most critical steps, often overlooked by some installers, is the proper identification of electrical cables. This step, regardless of how complex or simple the project is, is a vital phase for the proper functioning of the network. Therefore, each cable used during installation must be properly identified. Thus, the safety of all those involved, as well as the general efficiency of the electrical project, can be guaranteed.
The most recommended and efficient way to achieve successful cable identification is to label each cable to be installed and record its ID and function in the event log. Not only will this help you effectively track each cable independently, but it will also simplify the process of maintaining your network.
Application and use
Heat shrink tapes are easy to apply. After printing, the label exits the equipment in the form of a tube. This should be placed on the cable to be identified, bypassing the cable through the inner cylinder. It must be done before it is installed. Once the boot is in place, a hot air gun should be used to tighten it so that it sticks permanently to the cable.
